About Us Welcome to Da Vinci's Dream, a nonprofit animal rescue organization in Kentucky dedicated to saving and improving the lives of cats and dogs in need. Da Vinci’s Dream is not owned by any individual—we are proudly run by a volunteer Board of Directors and powered by a community of compassionate people who believe every animal deserves a second chance. What We Do Founded with a deep passion for animal welfare, Da Vinci’s Dream rescues animals from high-risk shelters and connects them with loving forever homes. Our volunteers go beyond traditional rescue efforts by visiting shelters with high euthanasia rates—not only to rescue dogs and cats, but also to clean kennels, donate food, and build outdoor enclosures for those we cannot immediately take in. At Da Vinci’s Dream, we believe that every life matters. Our team travels to overcrowded shelters where animals are at risk, offering hands-on care, socialization, and comfort. We also donate essential food and supplies to help meet the basic needs of shelter animals and staff. When an animal cannot be immediately placed in a home, we take proactive steps to improve their quality of life. Our volunteers build safe outdoor spaces that allow dogs and cats to enjoy fresh air, exercise, and freedom while they await adoption. Who We Are Da Vinci’s Dream is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors that oversees operations, rescue decisions, and financial stewardship. We partner with licensed veterinarians and use a board-certified accountant to ensure transparency, accuracy, and integrity in all financial matters. Every dollar donated goes directly toward the care, transportation, and well-being of animals in need. Our Impact Since our founding, Da Vinci’s Dream has helped hundreds of dogs and cats find safe, loving homes across multiple states.
