Knox-Whitley Animal Shelter
Our Mission
We are a non-profit organization dedicated to placing abandoned or relinquished animals into appropriate homes. We accomplish this mission by working with volunteers, rescue groups and no-kill shelters across the United States, foster homes and veterinarians. Through our efforts, we rescue and place hundreds of animals per year in well-matched, carefully screened forever homes. We are also a community resource to pet owners by providing information on responsible pet ownership, education and assistance on the critical decision to spay and neuter pets and positive training methods.
Adoption Policy
ADOPTION FEES:
Dogs are $120 and are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on age appropriate vaccines prior to adoption.
Cats are $50 and are spayed/neutered, and up-to-date on age appropriate vaccines, and can be microchipped upon request for an additional $20.
A meet and greet is required prior to adopting, and If an animal is not spayed or neutered upon meeting, an adoption pending of $20 for a dog and $10 for a cat can be placed and they will be spayed/neutered for you and can be adopted the next day.
If you are interested in adopting anyone you see, please stop by the shelter during our hours of operation to meet the animal. We highly encourage bringing along any other pets, kids, or practically anyone who will be living with the animal to make sure they get along.
