    Our Mission

There are multiple benefits to this program. Death Row Dogs gives offenders the skills necessary to support successful rehabilitation and re-entry, ultimately improving public safety. At the same time, this is an opportunity for the offenders to repay communities and repair some of the debts caused by their crimes. We have seen this program have a profound effect on the inmates and staff, increasing the safety and security of the facility. The Death Row Dogs training program began in 2004. It is a collaborative effort between the Green River Correctional Complex and local animal rescue organizations.

    Adoption Policy

If interested in adopting a dog  through this program you may request an adoption application by emailing info@sparkyrescue.com.  By completing an application you are making a formal request to adopt a dog through the Death Row Dogs training program. If you would like to adopt through the program but do not have a particular dog in mind we would be happy to match you with a dog that fits your family's needs.
