The Ulysses Animal Shelter provides services for the City of Ulysses. This includes animal control of animals at large as well as housing stray animals until they are returned to their rightful owners.Â

Adoption Policy
Ulysses Animal Shelter has a pre-adoption application that all potential adopters will complete. This is to ensure the best fit for every animal.
The adoption fee is $125.
Ulysses Animal Shelter along with Ulysses Veterinary Hospital will have your animals spayed/neutered, vaccinated and dewormed for the adoption fee. If there are additional services you would like you may pay extra.Â
Or you can pay the adoption fee and take the animal to your veterinarian of choice to get spayed/neutered and vaccinated. Once you have completed this (within 6 months of adoption) you can then send proof back to the City of Ulysses and get your adoption fee back.Â

The Animal Control Officer hours are Monday through Friday 8a-4p.
