Helping Paws of Monticello
Our Mission
Helping Paws of Monticello (HPOM) is a non-profit animal rescue organization. Our main goal is to trap feral felines in our community to have them vet checked and spay/neutered then release back at the same location if someone is currently feeding and taking care of them. On occasion we come across cats and kittens that are friendly and can be rehomed. We also try to help our local vets rehome pets that their owners are now deceased. On occasion we will take in a dog that has been found in our county to see if we can locate the owner. The dog will be rehomed if an owner cannot be located.
Adoption Policy
We first determine what kind of home best suits the animal. We then ask prospective adopter to contact us and fill out an adoption application. We also talk with the prospective adopter to make sure it would be a good fit for their home.
