Child and Pet Relief Fund [CPR Fund]
Our Mission
CPR Fund K9 Rescue is dedicated to ending the needless euthanasia of adoptable pets. Incorporated in 2002 by a small group of EMT's and paramedics, CPR Fund went straight to work rescuing dogs set to be euthanized at local shelters in the Chicago land and Northwest Indiana areas.
All rescues receive the best veterinary care available and are placed in loving foster homes until their forever families are found. While in foster care, CPR Fund's rescues are housebroken, crate-trained, socialized, leash trained and taught basic house manners.
Over the years the faces may have changed but the mission remains the same- save adoptable pets from needless euthanasia. And CPR Fund has done just that. Since our inception in 2002 we have kept over 2,000 animals from losing their lives simply because they had no place to call home.
The adoptable dogs that are in the care of CPR Fund Rescue are pulled from kill shelters; they come to us with little or no information about their breed. The best we can do is to make a guess as to each dog's breed or breed mix. Sometimes it is quite clear, often it is not.  Petfinder.com allows us to list two different breeds per dog. We (CPR Fund Rescue) make no guarantee as to the breed or breed mix of each adoptable dog.Â
We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and how that dog will fit in with your family and lifestyle, instead of relying on a breed label that is often a guess.
Please do not let radius stop you from checking out our lovable pups. We have fosters all over Illinois and Indiana and it's always worth the trip for a wonderful forever home!
