Greensburg Decatur County Animal Shelter

1635 W PARK ROAD
Greensburg, IN 47240

Our Mission

One pet adopted is two lives saved. Serving the City of Greensburg, and all of Decatur County, Indiana, we are a local Government funded facility consisting of Animal Control and the Shelter. Our focus is domestic animal rescue and adoptions. In spite of space limitations, our euthanasia percentage is less than half the national average, due largely to our wonderful volunteers. We work very hard to provide a loving and caring environment for our animals while they are with us.

Adoption Policy

The adoption process is pretty simple. Once the potential adopters have chosen their new pet, they will fill out a pre-adoption application. After that, they pay the adoption fee in full. Then we will vaccinate the animal and send them on their way! If the animal is not already altered, then the new owners will be responsible to take the new pet to its surgery appointment scheduled by us.
