Our Mission

Grassroots Animal Rescue is a small group of dedicated animal lovers, based in the Chicago-area, who are committed to providing high-quality care to rescued cats. Our focus is on educating the public and potential adopters on all aspects of cat care including wellness, nutrition and cat behavior. We look forward to helping you find the perfect match for your home!

Adoption Policy

How Our Process Works When you adopt from Grassroots Animal Rescue, you become part of our family. It is our deepest wish to find the best home for each cat or kitten in our care. Also, if you have a current vet, we also ask for their information, so we can contact them for some insights. Step Four: Home Check Before finalizing the adoption, we will want to see where the new member of your family will spend their time. A Grassroots Animal Rescue volunteer will come over to your house for a tour. It is another great opportunity to ask any questions you might have about getting the new kitty settled in - things to make them comfortable, thoughts on where to place the litter box, and so on. Step Five: Adoption! On the day of adoption, a Grassroo
