Safe Harbor Rescue
Our Mission
Safe Harbor Rescue was founded in 1997 as part of a great vision of local Veterinarian and practice owner Lori Civello, DVM. Dr. Civello's passion for helping mainly cats and kittens find a home led her to realize she had a hospital full of pets that she had taken in and that she needed to organize and find homes for these pets. Mixing her passion for sailing and her care for pets she named this new organizations Safe Harbor Rescue.  Today Safe Harbor has a wonderful home inside Glendale Animal Hospital in Glendale Heights, IL. With it's own dedicated space and staff Safe Harbor has adopted hundreds of cats and dogs into loving homes in the past 17 years. Safe Harbor is supported by generous donations from people like you.Â
Note: Safe Harbor Rescue is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization and all donations are tax deductible.
