Our Mission
The mission of OnlyPaws Animal Rescue NFP is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome abandoned, neglected, and at-risk animals through a compassionate, foster-based program. We are committed to providing safe shelter, veterinary care, behavioral support, and responsible placement into loving, permanent homes. Our organization supports our community through education, advocacy, and resources that promote responsible pet ownership, spay/neuter awareness, and the prevention of cruelty and homelessness among companion animals.
Adoption Policy
1. Submit an Adoption Application
Interested adopters begin by completing our adoption application. This allows us to learn about the adopter’s home, lifestyle, experience, and expectations.
2. Application Review & Approval Call
Once reviewed, approved applicants receive a phone call from our team to discuss the animal’s needs, answer questions, and confirm that the home is a good fit.
3. Meet & Greet
We schedule a meet and greet with the adopter, the animal, and any resident pets or family members to ensure everyone is comfortable and compatible.
4. 3-Week Foster-to-Adopt Trial
If the meet and greet goes well, the adopter begins a 3-week foster-to-adopt period. This allows the animal time to adjust to the home and ensures the adoption is a good fit.
If additional time is needed, we are happy to extend the trial.
5. Finalize the Adoption
After a successful trial week, the adoption is officially completed and finalized. Paperwork is signed, medical records are transferred, and the animal officially becomes part of their new family.
