Small dogs are at risk in traditional shelters because they tend to be more fearful and refuse to eat or drink while in a hectic environment. Holy Shih Tzu! Central Illinois Lap Dog Rescue’s dogs are kept in foster homes throughout Central Illinois where they are given individual attention, socialized, and housetrained. Our dogs are never kept in cages on display for public viewing, and never kenneled outdoors. We complete as much of the adoption process as possible online to put the dogs through as little stress as possible.
