We visit Petsmart Adoption Days and participate in other offsite events. Follow our activities on our Facebook page, Henry County Humane Society, Inc. or our website www.henryhumane.com
We are unable to bring all of our animals to Petsmart but please drop by to see which ones are there. Our shelter is open to the public most Saturday's from 12 to 4 p.m.
Henry County Humane Society is a 501 c 3 non profit charity organization licensed by the Georgia State Department of Agriculture. We work closely with our local animal control facility to help reduce their numbers and find suitable homes for pets who have found themselves impounded and unwanted. We survive on donations, we receive no county, state, or government funding. Your help saves lives!
Our animals have been given age appropriate vaccinations, are spayed/neutered, dewormed and had capstar and/or frontline applied. Dogs are heartworm negative and microchipped. Cats are feline leukemia (Felv) and feline AIDS (FIV) negative. Pediatric spaying and neutering is performed on puppies and kittens as young as 8 weeks old.
Potential adopters must complete an application including vet references. Fenced yards are required for large dogs and some smaller active breeds. ADOPTIONS ARE LIMITED TO THE METRO ATLANTA AREA.
If you see an animal that you are interested in, please download and complete a Preliminary Application Form. This application does not commit you to an adoption. It is used to screen those interested to make sure the home is a good match for the animal. If your application is approved, one of our volunteers will contact you via phone or email.
