Our Mission

Feline Advocates of Leon County (FALC) is a non-profit animal rescue founded in 2019, serving Tallahassee and the Big Bend area. We operate two adoption centers in Tallahassee, where you can visit with adoptable kitties!
- Fat Cat Cafe at 2901 E Park Ave by Governor's Square Mall
- Fat Cat Books at 615-5 Railroad Square in Railroad Square Art Park

FALC is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming animals in need while educating and empowering our community to advocate for the welfare of companion and community cats.

Adoption Policy

To adopt you must :
1. Be at least 18 years old
2. Have consent from any adults residing with you
3. Provide medical history on your current pets
4. Pay a $125 adoption fee to offset all the vetting costs (spay/neuter, FIV/FeLV test, vaccines, microchip, deworming)

We have cats and kittens available to visit at our adoption locations, Fat Cat Cafe and Fat Cat Books in Tallahassee. You can come any time during open hours to visit the cats, although reservations to the cafe are preferred as it has limited space. If you find a cat online that you love, you can also apply for them immediately, and we can arrange a meet and greet.

Once you choose a cat, you can fill out an online adoption application, or get pre-approved so when the love of your life arrives, you are ready to go! (Applications expire after 30 days) You can request a paper application to be emailed, by sending a request to falccats@gmail.com.

From there, expect to hear from us within 48 hours regarding your application status. We may have additional questions for you. We do our best to ensure a good fit for both the kitty and adopter!
