Our Mission
K9s For Warriors is dedicated to providing service canines to warriors suffering from Post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury, and/or military sexual trauma as a result of post-9/11 military service. Our goal is to empower them to return to civilian life with dignity and independence. These adoptable dogs are our "career change" pups who have received some training but just want to be a house pet, not a service dog.
Adoption Policy
- We require all potential adopters to fill out and submit an adoption application, http://bit.ly/K9FWAdoptApp
- Once you find a dog you are interested in, we will schedule a meet and greet on our campus where you will get to meet the dog(s) of your choice.
- We require all dogs and members of the household to accompany you during the meet and greet. If it is a perfect match, an adoption agreement will be signed, transition food will be provided along with medical records, and you will be able to take your new addition home for free!
- We also offer appointments Monday - Friday between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. where you would be able to speak with a trainer that has worked with your dog for any training tips or insight you may want or need.
