Our Mission
Canine Rescue and Adoption: Almost Home Dog Sanctuary, Inc. rescues canines from shelters, abusive situations, and abandonment, providing them with medical care, rehabilitation, and foster homes until permanent, responsible, and loving homes can be found.
This program involves identifying canines in need, coordinating rescues, providing necessary veterinary care, and facilitating the adoption process.
Canine Foster Care: The organization offers a foster care program for canines in need of temporary homes before they are ready for adoption. Foster caregivers provide love, socialization, and basic training to prepare the canines for their forever homes. This program involves recruiting and training foster caregivers, coordinating placements, and providing ongoing support and resources to foster families.
Education and Advocacy: Almost Home educates the community on responsible pet ownership, including the importance of spaying and neutering, proper training, and providing a lifetime commitment to their pets. Additionally, the organization advocates for animal welfare issues, such as promoting no-kill shelter policies and supporting legislation to improve animal protection laws.
Adoption Policy
All adopters must complete an application along with 3 references for the rescues review. Upon approval the adopter will receive the rescues adoption agreement.
