Dalmatian Rescue is a nonprofit, no-kill organization dedicated to the rescue, protection, and placement of Dalmatians. We provide educational materials and advice as it pertains to this breed. Our organization exists solely on donations and volunteer efforts. We apply one hundred percent of all contributions directly to the care and maintenance of the Dalmatians under our guardianship. We house, nurture, and maintain orphaned, sick, injured, abused, and deaf Dals and non-specific breeds in the areas mentioned above. Due to over breeding and vast popularity, Dalmatians have been labeled a misunderstood breed. Thus the reason we see so much abandonment and homelessness. While established in Florida, our rescue and placement efforts have become far-reaching. Dalmatian Rescue networks have built relationships with other Dalmatian Rescues countrywide. Although our organization is not affiliated with any of these groups, we find it essential and beneficial in the rescue world to rely on contacts and information sharing. All pets taken into our care are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, heart-worm tested, micro-chipped, etc. prior to placement into a new loving ‘forever’ home or foster care. All pets are evaluated on personality, temperament and adopt-ability and then placed accordingly. We have abandoned the kennel environment and now utilize foster homes. The pets live in home-like settings while learning house training, social skills and manners, which we believe make for a more adoptable pet.
It is our hope and goal that the next home these pets find will be their last! Our job is never done — our Dals always need us — every single day. Please help us continue our lifesaving work, with a secure online gift today! Dalmatian Rescue, Inc. is a no-kill, not for profit organization. One hundred percent of your contribution goes to Dalmatian Rescue, Inc. No professional solicitor will retain any percentage of your contribution. Our Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services registration number is CH10912. You may obtain a copy of our official registration and financial information from the Division of Consumer Services by calling (800) 435-7352 within the state of Florida.
Anyone interested in adopting one of our Dals can email, call, or fax us their application or questions. Our Director will chat with you to get an idea of the home you can provide, your knowledge of the breed and what you are looking for in a new best friend and family member.
We are looking for a home that will give this Dal the last home it will ever have. Knowing and understanding this breed is the key to making your adoption the best it can be.
Dalmatian Rescue assumes the role of educator. We also act as a support and referral network for those who need information about behavior, medical and emotional needs, and general questions from those desiring a Dalmatian for the first time.

Meet and greet:
Meeting the Dals is fun, exciting and the best way to know how responsive to you this potential family member will be. You will have the opportunity to see them in action and perhaps meet your current pet/pets and the entire family. This meet and greet is so vital. While looks and beauty are important to some, one on one bonding and compatibility are just as important and are assessed during this meeting. It’s like test-driving your new car!
Dalmatian Rescue conducts home visits just to make sure we are matching the right pet to the right home. While we do not conduct a white glove inspection, we are looking for a loving home, secure environment and a home that has the time, patience and manageability attributes for this Dal that will live out its life with you.
