Our Mission
Rescue Golden Retrievers and other dogs, provide rescued dogs with needed medical and other attention, locate and screen prospective foster and permanent homes. Attend dog events for fundraising and volunteer recruitment opportunities.
Adoption Policy
People complete a comprehensive online adoption application that includes veterinarians that have treated other pets of the prospective adopter. A called is made to the veterinarian to determine if the prospective adopter has a track record of having his/her pets regularly examined, vaccinated, and heartworm and flea preventatives have been purchased. Those prospects with good references by their veterinarian are scheduled for a home visit by an ECGRR volunteer. The purpose of the home visit is to inspect the conditions of the house, yard, fence (if any) and neighbor of the adoption prospect. Questions of the prospective adopter are made regarding how they take care of their pets. If found to be acceptable they are approved for adoption.
