Our Mission

It is our commitment to spay/neuter, provide medical treatment, rehab and place feral cats up for adoption so they have the opportunity to find their fur-ever homes. At Dockery's, we strive to educate the public on the need to TNR as well as, spay/neuter their family pets to alleviate the over populated shelters and rescues nationwide. Not only are we also dedicated to bringing awareness to aide in the prevention of animal cruelty, but we guide adopters on how to be a responsible pet owner. When you adopt from Dockery's, you become family. Being a feral based rescue with the occasional pet surrenders, we actively encourage trap-neuter-release (TNR) in our community.

DID YOU KNOW.....
We take in cats and kittens from local animal shelters in the surrounding area as well? We also assist, but not limited to saving abandoned cats stemming from hoarding situations, evictions, unexpected family emergencies, etc. that are surrendered by owners or removed by officials. Each surrender is a case-by-case basis since we are primarily a feral rescue.

Dockery's is a 5013c rescue and relies on donations to continue to help the feral community. Look for us around town in the SW Florida area, as we regularly attend community events and run adoption events to find the PURR-fect homes.

ADOPTABLES:
Not only do we have kittens galore, you can't overlook our resident feline companions here at the rescue that call the rescue their home. We have resident cats of all ages, some are purr-fect barn cats that prefer to be outside, while others prefer a lap to lay on. All resident cats are up for adoption as long as it is the perfect fit. Some have quirks, medical issues and/or are special needs. But don't worry, if they don’t get adopted they live the rest of their happy days with the founder, Amber Dockery and her family.

Adoption Policy

Before you can visit the rescue and adopt, you must fill out an adoption application. Home checks may be necessary depending on the living arrangement or the cat.

It is strongly encouraged to coordinate a visit to the rescue by contacting Amber directly to ensure there are no scheduling conflicts.
