Dockery’s Amazing Rescues
Our Mission
It is our mission to provide for the adoption and placement of rescued cats and kittens in permanent homes. We are further dedicated to the care and wellbeing of these homeless cats and to educating the public on the need to spay/neuter pets, the prevention of animal cruelty, responsible pet ownership, and actively encouraging trap-neuter-release (TNR) in our community.
Dockery’s Amazing Rescues takes in cats and kittens from local animal shelters in the SWFL area, rescues abandoned felines from other locations (hoarding situations and through TNR), and takes in kittens and cats surrendered by owners to the extent of our resources, which greatly rely on the availability of foster homes and charitable donations. Dockerys Amazing Rescues places the cats in foster care for resocializing and regularly runs adoption events to find permanent homes for them. We also house cats here at the rescue that have no home, so if they don’t get adopted they live their rest if their happy days with Dockerys amazing rescues.
Adoption Policy
They have to fill out an adoption application, we scan the application on details, then we do a back ground check through Lee county animal abuse, home checks if we decide. Then they can come visit the kittens for a meet and greet. Then we decide if a perfect fit!
