Our Mission

Pets can be a wonderful addition to your life! If you are thinking about getting a pet, please consider saving the life of a homeless dog or cat by adopting a pet from our Adoption Center. All of our pets come complete with:


A veterinary exam
All necessary vaccinations
Spaying/neutering
Broward County pet registration tag
Microchip


Broward County Animal Care is one of South Florida's largest public Adoption Centers.

Adoption Policy

Adopting a furry best friend as easy as 1, 2, 3!


Visit our Adoption Center and select your new best friend!
Complete an Adoption Application.
Pay your Adoption Fee.

Our standard adoption fee is $50 for dogs and cats. You must be at least 18 years old to adopt a pet and have picture identification, such as a valid driver's license.  Adopters outside of the Broward County area are welcome, but you must be present to complete your application and complete the adoption process.

Our Adoption Center is open for adoptions Tuesday through Friday from 1 to 6 p.m.  Also, Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. We are closed on Mondays.


We also offer many of our cats for adoption at all Pet Supermarket stores located throughout Broward County.
