Our Mission

Cauzican Care is dedicated to saving unwanted, injured, neglected, or abused cats in Florida and South Georgia. The organization operates as a no-kill shelter, providing loving care to all rescued animals, aiming to find them permanent homes. Any animals adopted must be returned to Cauzican Care should the adoption prove unsuccessful. The organization also transports and delivers animals around the state as needed, cooperating with other rescue and foster shelters.

Adoption Policy

You must be at least 18 years old to adopt and have a pet policy in place for your residence if you rent. If you are younger than 21 and not working full time, we require a financial guarantor who is 21 or older. All of our cat adoptions occur at the Adoption Center of our local PetSmart (1759 Apalachee Pkwy, Tallahassee, FL 32301). Those interested in meeting our cats can either set up an appointment by emailing ccarfoster@gmail.com or by attending our weekly adoption hours from 12:00pm - 3:00pm every Saturday. The adoption fee for kittens is $125 and adult cats is $100. This fee covers their spay/neuter, rabies, and FVRCP vaccinations. At the Adoption Center you'll have the opportunity to meet all of the cats housed there. After deciding on a cat, you'll be asked a few questions to determine if you're a good fit for them. If you are, you'll fill out the adoption form, pay the fee, then take your furbaby home! Please note that we do not provide pet carriers and ask that you bring/or purchase one at the time of the adoption.
