Rock Bottom Rescue

Rock Bottom Rescue's mission is to give second chances to stray dogs who never had a first. We rescue, rehabilitate and rehome dogs that are abandoned, malnourished and/or abused. Last year, 7th grader Claire Aharon met Milo, an emaciated dog with scars covering his body, while on vacation in Puerto Rico. She brought him to a local vet. They told her and her family that her was used in dog fighting, and had heartworm. She found him a foster, and eventually brought him to the US mainland. He was adopted by Joe, who had seen his photos and story online. The stars aligned for both of them and Milo found his forever home, and Joe found a new best friend. This success inspired Claire to start Rock Bottom Rescue, and give second chances to misfortuned stradogs who never got a first.
