Our Mission

East Coast Canine Rescue is a non-profit 501c3 volunteer-based animal welfare organization. We are dedicated to rescuing homeless canines from crowded shelters, situations of abuse and neglect. We also answer social media and personal pleas to rehome dogs. Working within a network of animal advocates, foster caregivers, veterinarians, shelters and rehabilitation centers; ECCR is able to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome hundreds of animals per year.  


ECCR provides outstanding care to the dogs in our partner foster homes until they are place in their adoptive homes.

Requirements:


All current pets in the home must be spayed/neutered – we do not adopt to homes with unaltered pets. All pets must be up to date on vaccinations or have medical exception


 


We require adopters to be at least 23 years old. If younger and/or living with parents, have written parental approval and provide phone to verify


 


You must be approved in writing to adopt from ECCR. If you think you want to adopt you new best friend in the near future, please get your application in – you can be pre-approved up to 6 months in advance.


 


We place dogs with adopters in NY, NJ, CT, MA, NH, VT, ME ADOPTERS IN OTHER STATES MUST PICK UP IN NY/NJ/CT AND ARE RESPONSIBLE TO ABIDE BY THEIR HOME STATE ANIMAL IMPORTATION LAWS.
