Our Mission
The “Why” of my rescue.
Dogs are sentient beings (having the ability to feel or perceive, or to be conscious). Dogs know when they have been saved. I can’t prove it, but I sense it. All of my dogs that I have loved in my life have exhibited this aura of relief and joy and connection when they were brought into my home. It’s been an important part of the happiness in my life.
Maybe, I can’t save them all, but I will save as many as I can! This is my mission with Waggin’ Tongue Rescue. I want to try to give as many dogs as I can those feelings of relief, joy and connection and I want to make it possible for the humans who join me to easily find a companion and connection and joy. One dog at a time.
I’d like to be another strand in the safety net for dogs in Southeastern Colorado.
The “How” of Waggin’ Tongue Rescue
I will develop relationships with regional Animal Shelters, and continue the relationship that I have with the Clovis NM shelter, so I highlight them, and support them.
Adoption Policy
IMPORTANT: READ AND INITIAL EACH OF THESE STATEMENTS BEFORE SIGNING
1. I hereby acknowledge receiving the above-described animal
2. I hereby agree to provide proper food, water, shelter, and kind treatment always
3. I agree to provide veterinary care for examinations and immunizations as
needed; and to provide such care immediately, at my expense should the
animal become ill or injured.
4. I agree to notify Waggin’ Tongue Rescue if at any time I can no longer
keep the animal. Waggin’ Tongue Rescue will find a new home (as a pet
rehoming service). Adoption fee will not be refunded.
5. I understand that Waggin’ Tongue Rescue cannot guarantee the health,
temperament, of the above-described animal and hereby agree to release
Bruce Johnson, of all liability on the animal is in my possession.
6. I have completely read the above terms of this agreement. I have had them
explained to me and I completely understand and accept the rights and
obligations involved.
