Our Mission
Have a Heart Humane Society is a 501(c)3 non profit animal rescue organization (EIN 90-0571890) located in Tehachapi, California.
Have a Heart Humane Society is ran by wonderful group of volunteers and all animals rescued are placed in loving foster homes. We hold weekly adoption days at our Rescued Treasures location to give our animals a chance to meet and fall in love with their forever families.
Rescued Treasures is a second hand donation based retail store where all proceeds benefit our rescue operations.
Adoption Policy
To be considered as an adopter you must:
• Be 21 years of age or older. • Must be willing to travel to pick up the dog, we require meet and greets. • Have identification showing your present address. • Have the knowledge and consent of your landlord. • Be able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and proper care for a pet.
Adoption process:
1. Meet your new friend and fall in love
2. Complete application process
3. If application is approved, complete adoption contract
4. Take your new best friend home!
