Sacramento County Animal Care and Regulation

3839 Bradshaw Road
Sacramento, CA 95827

Our Mission

The Sacramento County Bradshaw Animal Shelter is one of the largest shelters in California, and since 1964, we care for more than 14,000 stray, abandoned, abused and neglected animals every year. But, we need your help to continue providing critical services to the animals and people of Sacramento County.

Please consider adopting our shelter animals and also learn about the opportunities to volunteer at the shelter, foster animals and donate to our programs.

Adoption Policy

Our state-of-the-art shelter was built in 2009 and was designed by the renowned architect firm George Miers and Associates.
