Our Mission
Pits & Pals K9 Rescue Inc is dedicated to rescuing and rehoming pit bulls and other breeds. We shall provide a safe haven for dogs in need, promote responsible pet ownership, and educate the public about the importance of spaying/neutering, vaccinations, and microchipping.
The specific objectives and purpose of Pits & Pals K9 Rescue is:
a. To rescue dogs from shelters, hoarding situations, and other dire circumstances
b. To provide foster homes for these dogs
c. To provide these dogs with medical care, rehabilitation, and training
d. To place these dogs into permanent adoptive homes
e. To promote and participate in partnerships and programs with other organizations with a similar purpose and goals, and
f. To promote a positive image of pit bulls and other breeds
Pits & Pals K9 Rescue will endeavor to maximize the percentage of its operating budget, which directly benefits rescued animals, including the spaying and neutering of these dogs. Fundraising to support this will be achieved through solicitation and acceptance of contributions from individuals and other methods or events as the Board of Trustees of the Corporation desire to utilize.
Adoption Policy
ADOPTION PROCESS:
Step One: Complete the Adoption Application
Step Two: Adoption Application is reviewed and followed up questions may be asked by Pits & Pals Adoption Team. This process can take up to a week, depending on how long it takes you to respond to emails.
Step Three: If Adoption Application is approved, Pits & Pals Adoption Coordinator will contact you to schedule a meet and greet with you, and any other humans who live in the home, at a neutral location.

Step Four: If needed, a second meet and greet with dog intros will be conducted for those families with resident dog(s), at a neutral location.
Step Five: If all goes well and the parties wish to move forward with adoption, a Home Check will be scheduled. The Adoption Coordinator will schedule a time to come to the adopter’s home for visual inspection, go over and sign all paperwork, and bring the dog being adopted.
