Yuba County Animal Care Services

  Yuba County Animal Care Services is a division of the Yuba County Sheriff’s Department. Animal Care Services provides service for the unincorporated areas of Yuba County. Animal Care Services does not provide field services to the City of Wheatland, City of Marysville, or Beale Air Force Base; however it does provide licensing services for the City of Wheatland ONLY. Our mission is to enhance the care and compassion provided to all animals within our shelter and to facilitate the placement of stray and homeless pets into desirable "Forever Homes". We strive to give the best care and shelter to our animal guests while also providing educational assistance and direction to prospective new families. We encourage responsible pet ownership and promote the education of such within our community, including the importance of spaying and neutering companion animals.
