Hair of the Dog Rescue

Hair of the Dog is a 501(c) (3) non-profit foster-based animal rescue, committed to rescuing homeless, abandoned, medically in-need, and at-risk large breed senior dogs, and ensuring that they spend their golden years in homes with families who love them. While our primary focus is on senior dogs, we do take in dogs of all ages, when the occasion or circumstance calls for it. Through our rescue efforts, we aim to foster a community that celebrates the unique qualities of senior dogs while also offering a lifeline to their younger counterparts in need.  Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome abandoned, abused, and neglected dogs, offering them a second chance at a life filled with love and security. We are driven by a deep commitment to compassion, advocacy, and education, striving to create a world where every dog enjoys a life filled with love, dignity, and security
