Our Mission

Wild horizon farm is an equine facility, rescue and animal sanctuary nestled on the edge of the Angeles forest. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, our goal is to raise enough funds to provide short and long-term care for our rescued animals—and for many more in the future. There is a growing need, and we are committed to making a positive impact.

Adoption Policy

At Wild Horizon Farm, we follow a 6-step adoption process: 1. Application: You fill out an online or paper form with basic info about your household, lifestyle, and pet care experience. 2. Screening: A volunteer reviews your application, checks references, and may ask follow-up questions to make sure you and the dog are a good match. 3. Meet & Greet: You schedule a time to meet the dog—often at the rescue’s facility, a foster home, or a public space—so everyone can get acquainted. 4. Home Visit: Some rescues conduct a brief in-home check (or virtual tour) to confirm your living environment is safe and suitable. 5. Adoption Agreement & Fee: Once approved, you sign an adoption contract outlining care requirements and pay a modest fee (usually covering vaccinations, spay/neuter, and microchipping). 6. Transition Support: The rescue provides guidance on settling in your new pet and often offers follow-up support—everything from behavior tips to veterinary referrals—to help you both succeed.
