About Our Rescue Director and Founder, Erin Lovejoy has been an animal advocate since she was a child. The vision for creating a rescue was a peaceful outside setting, a dog and puppy sanctuary where the public could come play with, and adopt puppies and dogs. Erin stands strong behind her belief that through educating our youth about proper animal welfare, the awareness will impact the future, drastically reducing the amount of neglected, abandoned and abused animals on the streets and in shelters. Her goal is "no dog is left without a purpose, without a job, or without a home." Since April of 2010, Erin has been building her vision, and has rescued, rehabilitated and re-homed more than 15,000 dogs to date. Erin strives towards her goal every day, pushing through the trenches of rescue and holding live in-person adoption events every Saturday and Sunday, rain or shine. She has spent countless hours and resources lending a helping hand to countless owner surrenders, stray dogs, and injured animals, giving them the support they need. With the incredible dedication of her family standing by her side and in keeping with the same passion, Erin, her family, and The Lovejoy Foundation have reduced the intakes in the local shelters dramatically. Erin's motto is "Touching lives one animal at a time" Hopefully, it will not be long before her vision will unfold to what she works so tirelessly creating every day. Come Meet Our Pets The Lovejoy Foundation holds adoption events every Sat. and Sun. from 11am to 5pm at 1121 West Hillcrest Blvd. Inglewood, CA 90301. M-F at The Lovejoy Foundation we are training, grooming, boarding, and doing daycare for our clients as well as our rescues, so unfortunately the only opportunities to see our rescues is during our weekend adoption events. We look forward to helping you find your perfect match on Sat. and Sun. from 11-5. Please keep in mind our adoption events take place in an outside venue, with wet weather, high winds, and chilly temperature we would not hold a normal event, so please call ahead before coming 310-719-5707.
