Our Mission

Our mission is to promote and provide resources and program information to advocate for the humane treatment of community cats and companion animals. We also strive to reduce the number of community cats and homeless animals by advocating for spay and neuter, promoting responsible colony management including TNvR, and by sheltering and placing adoptable cats/kittens in our foster and adopt program as space permits. It is our belief that through these practices, the burden on municipal shelters can be lessened, and thus the euthansia rates of companion animals can be reduced.

Adoption Policy

PLEASE NOTE: WE ARE A VOLUNTEER BASED ORGANIZATION. WE DO NOT HAVE TIME TO RESPOND TO EVERY GENERIC PETFINDER BASED INQUIRY. IF YOU WANT YOUR INQUIRY TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY, FOLLOW THE STEPS LISTED BELOW. THIS HELPS US FILTER OUT SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY. THANK YOU!

1. Download, complete and submit adoption application.
2. Application is then processed through our review team. This includes reference, vet check, and contacting landlord if applicable.
3. If approved, applicants may meet animals in private foster homes. We also often have cats in adoption cages at Pets To Go stores in Elk Grove, CA. Animals may be met in-store without prior approval.
4. Approved applicants and adoption coordinator will coordinate an adoption date, time, and location in. (Process takes about 1 week from start to finish.)
