Our Mission

Kumo's Proud Tails and Whiskers, Inc. is a charitable, Federal not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to reducing the number of homeless, abused, and abandoned animals and improving their quality of life. We achieve this by educating the public on proper animal care and the importance of spaying and neutering. Our mission is to actively promote kindness, eliminate cruelty and neglect towards all animals, and encourage lifelong commitment to pets. Additionally, we strive to place adoptable pets into forever homes, thereby supporting our vision of a society where all animals are treated with the respect and care they deserve.

Adoption Policy

1.Application:
To begin the adoption process, please complete our Adoption Questionnaire. Once we receive your application, we will review it and contact you via phone or email. If we determine that you are a good match for one of our animals based on the information provided, we will schedule a phone interview.

2.Meeting the Animal(s) and Home Visit:
We will arrange a meeting with your potential new family member(s) at your home. During this visit, we will also verify that your home is a safe environment for the animal(s) and provide you with advice on how to make any necessary changes.

3.Trial Period and Adoption Fee:
We offer a trial period of one to two weeks to ensure that everyone is happy and comfortable. At the end of the trial period, if you decide not to adopt the animal(s), we will refund your adoption fee.

4.Agreement:
If for any reason the adoption is not a perfect match, the dog or cat must be returned to Kumo's Proud Tails and Whiskers, Inc. Our Adoption Agreement is legally binding and we take it very seriously. We do not allow our animals to be given away or turned in to a shelter. Violators of our agreement may face serious fines. Therefore, we urge you to read the agreement carefully, understand its terms, and be prepared to abide by them.
