Our Mission
PCS Pups is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dog rescue and rehoming resource founded specifically for military communities.
Life in the military requires frequent, unavoidable, and often unpredictable moves. Each move—called a permanent change of station, or PCS—is difficult its own way. An unfortunate byproduct of “PCSing” is that shelters near large installations become overloaded with the dogs who did not move alongside their owners.
While shelters across the United States are already experiencing record-high levels of overcrowding, those located near military installations must also accommodate for this increased amount of owner surrenders. Without an alternative for military families, there simply was not enough room.
PCS Pups was founded as a no-questions-asked alternative to shelter surrenders for military families. Our mission is simple—to keep these vulnerable dogs in safe and loving homes.
