Clay County Animal Shelter
Our Mission
The CCASÂ is a non-profit organization dedicated to the prevention of cruelty to animals and to the promotion of animal welfare and pet population control.
We are funded by private donations, membership and bequests. We rely on generosity and compassion to support our programs designed to alleviate the pain and suffering of neglected, unwanted and abused animals.
Adoption Policy
Every time you adopt a pet from the Clay County Animal Shelter, you enable us to save the life of another animal in need.
Our Adoption Process
Step 1. Fall in Love
See one of our furry faces on Petfinder and/or Stop by the shelter to find your new best friend.
Step 2. Meet with a Staff Member
Our staff will fill you in on the pet’s story and answer any questions you may have. These questions will help ensure that your new pet will be a great fit for your family.
Step 3. Complete the Adoption
After you find the dog or cat that best fits your home, you will fill out an adoption contract.
Â
Adoption Fees
The regular adoption fee for a cat is $45 and for a dog is $80.
