Our Mission
Muttley Crew Dog Rescue is a non-profit independent rescue that saves dogs from high-kill shelters. We rescue all breeds and sizes- puppies to seniors- healthy and special needs dogs. We believe strongly in the importance of spay and neuter and adopt, don’t shop. With these two very simple principles, society can put an end to euthanizing healthy and adoptable dogs. We will continue to rescue one by one, until there are none.
We are a foster-based rescue. All foster homes are provided with all supplies (crate, high quality food, blanket, bowls, toys, leash, harness/collar etc.) All veterinary costs are covered for the duration of foster. We are always in need of committed foster homes! We could not continue to rescue without them.
Adoption Policy
Every dog is fully vetted- spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, de-wormed and flea treated. Any additional health concerns are treated. We seek training and have a behaviour specialist to work with our dogs that may have any behavioural issues to overcome.
Potential adopters will be sent our application to fill out, which tells us some basic information about yourself and your family to determine if the dog applied for is a great match. Afterwards, we do a quick home visit and a meet and greet with the dog and your family (fur children included, of course!) Adopters are able to do a 14 day trial period to ensure that it is a perfect match. After this, we sign the Adoption Contract and you will have your furry forever family member!
