Our Mission
At YEG Cats and Kittens+, our unwavering commitment is to create a world where every animal is cherished, cared for, and provided with a loving forever home. Our mission is founded on three pillars:
1. Rescuing and Rehabilitation:
We are dedicated to rescuing animals in need, whether they are abandoned, abused, neglected, or homeless. We provide them with the necessary medical care, rehabilitation, and a safe haven where they can heal physically and emotionally.
2. Rehoming and Adoption:
Our primary goal is to find loving, permanent homes for our adoptees. We believe that every animal deserves a second chance and a loving family to call their own.
3. Advocating for Responsible Spay/Neuter Practices:
We actively promote and advocate for responsible pet ownership, including spaying and neutering. We believe that by addressing the issue of overpopulation through these practices, we can prevent unnecessary suffering and reduce the number of animals in need of loving homes.
Our mission is guided by compassion, empathy, and the belief that every life is valuable. We strive to educate our community about the importance of animal welfare and the positive impact of adopting and spaying/neutering. We value the safety and well-being of both our furry friends and potential adopters. We offer the option for meet n' greets either in person or virtually. For in-person appointments, we adhere to outdoor meetings and choose public locations to ensure internet safety.
