Visibility's Story

2010 16.0 HH Chestnut Thoroughbred Gelding

Meet Visibility, a gentle, big-hearted off-track Thoroughbred with a calm and easygoing nature. This friendly gelding is seeking his forever home as a companion, as he has some ongoing soundness challenges that make him best suited for a non-riding role.

Visibility has moderate navicular disease in his right front and mild navicular changes in his left, and he currently wears glue-on front shoes to provide added support. He also has a large split in his front left hoof that our farrier continues to address and which is steadily improving with consistent care. Additionally, Visibility has mild degeneration in his front coffin bones and arthritis in his left hock.

To keep him comfortable, Visibility receives annual injections in his right front navicular region, front coffin bones, and left hock. His daily care includes 4 pounds of McCauley’s Top Breeder, along with a joint supplement, hoof supplement, and one Equioxx tablet.

Visibility adores people, loves attention, and is very much an “in-your-pocket” kind of horse—especially in the field, where he happily soaks up scratches. He’s also a big water lover and thoroughly enjoys baths and hose time. Kentucky Equine Adoption Center Inc.'s Adoption Policy
At the Kentucky Equine Adoption Center (KYEAC), we meet horses from all walks of life. In order to adopt one of our horses, we require you to fill out and submit an adoption application. KYEAC will not process any application unless the required photos, proof of residence, and application fee are included. If approved, we will put you in touch with one of our trainers who will work with you to find your perfect equine partner(s). NOTE: All adopters must sign an Equine Adoption and Placement Agreement and pay the adoption fee before the equine leaves KYEAC. Adopters are responsible for transportation arrangements and costs at the time of the adoption and in the event of return. Adoption fees are non-refundable. Please also note that Adopter agrees that the adopted equine may not be raced, bred, sold, given away or assigned by the Adopter, except as otherwise provided in the adoption contract. Further, we require adopters to complete an inspection on the adopted equine at 6 and 12 months after the date of the adoption. Provided the photos and veterinary report from these two inspections are satisfactory, KYEAC will then transfer full ownership of the equine to the Adopter at 12 months via a transfer letter.
