Tucker

Tucker is a 19-year-old retired police horse looking for the loving retirement home he deserves!

Tucker is a sweet gentleman who spent years serving others as a police horse. He is ready for a quieter life as a companion horse with someone who will appreciate him simply for being Tucker.

Tucker has faced medical challenges in the past, and we believe he may have experienced trauma before beginning his police-horse career. His care needs are manageable, and we are happy to discuss his history. Tucker enjoys his people, and has plenty of affection and companionship to offer.

He is an easygoing gentleman who should be separated from other horses during meals so he can eat peacefully and safely.

He is not buddy-sour and does best with a companion that keeps to themselves but also appreciates a friend nearby. He is comfortable in a stall or a run in shed arrangement with appropriate shelter, turnout, fresh water, and forage.

Tucker is good for the veterinarian and farrier and enjoys grooming and quiet time with his people. As with any senior horse, he will need regular veterinary and dental care, appropriate nutrition, and attention to his comfort.

Tucker is not looking for another job-he is looking for a retirement home where he can be cared for, appreciated, and allowed to enjoy life at his own pace. He has spent his life doing what was asked of him. Now he deserves patience, consistency, kindness, and the chance to feel safe and cherished.

Tucker doesn't need to prove anything anymore. He's done his job.
Now he's hoping to find the person who will say, "I've got you, Tucker. You can rest now." ❤️

If you are interested in meeting Tucker please fill out and application online www.nhspca.org or email farmanimals@nhspca.org.
Primary Color: Buckskin Secondary Color: Black Age: 19yrs 3mths 0wks
