Meet Trip, aka Triple Bad, a 10-year-old OTTB who finished his racing career in 2024 and is now looking for his next chapter.<br/><br/>Trip is brand new to us, so we’re still getting to know him—but his gentle nature has already made quite the impression. He is sweet, affectionate, easy to catch, and genuinely seems happiest in the company of people. He has the eyes of a gentle soul and the personality to match.<br/><br/>This tall, lanky gentleman does well with other geldings and appears to be more of a go-with-the-flow, lower-ranking herd member. He trailered here like a seasoned pro and has settled comfortably into outdoor living with free-choice shelter.<br/><br/>For now, Trip’s job is simple: pack on some pounds, soak up plenty of TLC, and fill out into his most handsome self. He previously spent time in a retraining program and showed promise, but a head-bobbing behavior under saddle led to him taking a break from work. While he would make a wonderfully sweet companion as-is, there may be more to his story for someone willing to thoughtfully investigate his needs and potential under saddle.<br/><br/>We’ll share more as we get to know him.
