Sven - MUST have signifiant experience with drafts's Story

This horse is a kind, good fella suitable for a person and home with significant DRAFT EXPERIENCE and where there are other full sized drafts.

Sven is outgoing, personable, willing, not spooky up past a snort or two. Enjoys the company of people and gets along fine with other horses.

Stands for fly spray, tacking and to be mounted. Side passes to the mounting block for easy mounting. Easy to catch, loves to be groomed and doted on.
He will walk, trot and canter but does struggle to maintain a canter for a long period of time. He rides alone or in a group, preferring the company of other horses.
Loads in a trailer and will stand tied all day. Has been hauled to a few ranch shows and handled it like a champ.
Sven has been started under harness and while he has had no issues, he will need more time to make sure that he is rock solid.
Sven should get along very will with a confident beginner, with guidance from a trainer. He is a big guy and respected boundaries will need to be set.
Trail riding and pleasure driving seem to fit this guy the best.

Adoption fees may be outdated, as a horse may have moved into training, so check us on most current fee. Horses typically adopted UTD on vaccines, dental floats, farrier care and all vet needs.

Horse Locations Typically: West Virginia – Kentucky – Virginia – Ohio – Maryland – PA – NC
Please inquire about a horse's specific location when you apply!

We are looking to adopt to safe homes.
A history of good horsemanship, the ability to provide sufficient care with good vet, farrier and peer references are important. If you are a first time horse owner, we will require you to board at a facility for the first year while you learn more about care. We encourage everyone to take advantage of riding lessons.
Foal adoptions require previous, established experience with youngsters.

Our adoption process makes sure you get the right horse for you – it is a no fail process for finding the right match.
