Stetson's Story
Stetson is officially available for adoption. He will be gelded soon and ready for his very own forever family. This guy came to us on May 1, 2025. He had a huge hay belly and a massive worm load, more lice than I'd ever seen, and had never been trimmed. He's since then been trimmed, is parasite free, and is healthy. He does still need a few pounds packed on him , and we are working on it, we had to get him parasite free before any of that could happen.
Stetson does not yet know he is still a stud, absolutely no stud type behaviors, even in a barn full of mares in heat. He is a perfect gentleman. He stalls wonderfully. He has no kick, bite, rearing, or other bad behaviors. He stands tied, in cross ties, and stands for deworming, farrier, and grooming. He loads and trailers quietly. If something spooks him, he stops and stands, no bolting, he also recovers remarkably quick. Stetson is very smart and eager to please.
He currently stands 13 - 13:2hh as a 2 year old, so some room still to grow. He has not learned any bad habits and hasn't been treated badly, so he's a clean slate for some to teach him the right way. Given his color (Cremello), a farm with lots of shade or evening turnout is best. He will be prone to sunburn and cancer from exposure. Sunscreen, fly mask, and a fly sheet are your best friends in these light colored horses.
If you're interested in adopting, please complete the HORSE adoption application online at www.lennoxslegacyrescue.org

*Note: He has zero marking. He's dirty from when he came in. It's either been too cold or too rainy to bathe him. He will glisten once bathed*
