Sassy's Story
PASTURE PET ONLY

Sassy is a 1998 Appaloosa Pony mare who stands at 13.3 hands tall and weighs 692lbs.
Sassy is the sweetest senior mare you will ever meet. We have all fallen in love with her here at the rescue. Sassy is a fun mare full of personality and love to give her people. She knows no strangers and will gladly approach anyone who comes into her pasture. Sassy adores neck and chin scratches! She will rest her head on your shoulder for affection and loves to get hugs and treats. Sassy likes her life on full turnout here, but she needs to be out with other older or docile horses. Her teeth have been floated in our care, but they aren't in the best shape and she struggles to eat hay, so we provide her with beat pulp / alfalfa mash in addition to her senior grain. Sassy has not been evaluated for riding because she isn't fit enough to carry any weight, but she's happy with her retired life and that's all that matters to us. We are hoping to find Sassy a wonderful home who can love her the same way we do.

To get approved, please complete a lifetime lease application and email it to info@wyhumane.org
Include with your completed application, pictures of your property including your barn, stall, or run-in shed, pasture, water source, and fencing both close up and a corner picture.

Links to the application and our policies.
