PLEASE NOTE: THE INQUIRY FORM ON THIS PAGE IS NOT THE HEART OF PHOENIX ADOPTION APPLICATION

Mokey ATFO 2025 Whippersnapper Division
Paso fino filly
Foal date: 4-30-24
bay
13H

Mokey had 110+days of training with Richard Hames. Follow her progress at #hopteammokey

From trainer July 7, 2025:

She is a 2024 model. Mokey has truly excelled in her training. Mokey has a busy mind that truly loves to learn, play, and she never meets a stranger. Mokey would excell in any direction you want her to go. She has accomplished so much, including showing at various Open Shows and even Gaited Shows in hand. She handles the hustle and bustle of the show atmosphere well, but like any young horse you will have to revert her attention back to you on occasion. She loves other horses, but she is a bossy little gal. She is easy to catch in a pasture and in the stall. She handles all the basic skills well, including grooming, cleaning her feet, fly spray, baths, hobbles, tying, cross ties, and ties well to the trailer at shows. Because of her busy mind she will tend to paw for awhile, but settles down.

She could easily be handled by a beginner with a trainer, or an intermediate amateur without a trainer. She loves kids, dogs, and cats (will follow all 3 if allowed). She keeps her curiosity and brave nature no matter who is handling her. We have sent Mokey's DNA off to the Paso Fino Horse Association in hopes she can be registered as well. Dont miss out on this beautiful gal at the Appalachian Trainer Face Off. She is available to adopt before the competition, but will stay in training through the competition.

Adoption Info:

Horses adopted are typically up to date on vaccines, dental floats, farrier care and all vet needs.

Horses are typically located in the Appalachian area, but please inquire about a horse's specific location when you apply!

We are looking to adopt to safe homes.

A history of good horsemanship, the ability to provide sufficient care with good vet, farrier and peer references are important. If you are a first-time horse owner, we will require you to board at a facility for the first year while you learn more about care. We encourage everyone to take advantage of riding lessons.

Foal adoptions require previous, established experience with youngsters.

Our adoption process makes sure you get the right horse for you – it is a no-fail process for finding the right match.

Apply at https://www.wvhorserescue.org/adopt

PLEASE NOTE: THE INQUIRY FORM ON THIS PAGE IS NOT THE HEART OF PHOENIX ADOPTION APPLICATION
