Marshall Peanut (Peanut)'s Story

Peanut's his name and being adorable is his game! Known on the track as Marshall Peanut, this 5 year old chestnut gelding is a big sweetie. Peanut came to us from Aftercare Charles Town just recently. He's got a kind nature and tries hard. He's still learning the basics, needs work on ground manners/awareness and isn't yet cantering on the lunge. He does stand well for saddling and tolerates movement. Being a gentle soul, still young and growing, he can spook a bit. Once he gets settled in, he's at his best. Peanut has an athletic build, but will need mindful management due to early arthritis, most likely from rapid growth. We think Peanut will do best with a patient adopter who enjoys developing a young horse and building their confidence. If you think Peanut is perfect for your barn, inquire to adopt.
