Lucy's Story
Lucy is a 14-year-old Appalossa mare that came to AGES in May of 2023. She has a metabolic disorder and should not be eating grass and limited sugar intake. She has a history of laminitis.

She came to us with two other horses when, after her owner died, the owner's husband unsuccessfully tried to take care of the horses himself. They all arrived with feet in horrible condition. One of the other two was euthanized, and the other was adopted out after being cared for here for an appropriate time.
