LUCKY- 16 year-old 16hh Standardbred gelding- trail/beach/pleasure riding- suited for beginner riders and kids<br/><br/>Lucky is a former racehorse who earned almost a million dollars on the track, then spent the past 9 years in a loving home. Sadly, he needs a new home due to family circumstances.<br/><br/>This is your ultimate “been there, done that” horse, perfect for families. Lucky takes great care of kids and beginner riders and is experienced riding on trails and at the beach. Lucky will also ride through/in water, ocean or lake. His family has ridden him bitless or with a snaffle, and while he primarily rides Western, he does not neck rein.<br/><br/>Lucky has been kept mostly barefoot, but his owner put front shoes on him when they rode on particularly rocky, hard trails (he also wore easy boots, but they would come off with his cross firing gate (pacing)).<br/><br/>Since Lucky's stifle has the potential to occasionally lock up, he is not suited for barrel racing or team penning. He is sound for regular riding and prefers to pace (he's a STB pacer, not a trotter).<br/><br/>Lucky is good with other horses and currently lives out 24/7 with a shed, but is fine being stalled with daily turnout.<br/><br/>Available for $150 to an approved home with contract with a minimum 60 day trial period.
