King's Story
CURRENT RIDER LEVEL: Intermediate

King is a 2008 Thoroughbred Gelding who stands at 15.3 hands tall and weighs 1,160 lbs. King (Bling King) is a very social and expressive gelding who is near the top of his herd. He thrives on full turnout and will usually be found out in the field rather than in a stall or shelter. He is easy to catch and very food motivated. King is easy to lead and stands tied but is sensitive on his sides when being groomed and tacked, meaning he may threaten to nip or swing his head in protest. He does respond to corrections and will stand quietly when he realize that behavior wont be tolerated. Because of his tall withers, correct saddle fit is very important for him. King doesn't like standing at the block to be mounted but he is getting better about it with more work. King rides best with a snaffle bit, preferring a very light rein / hand and he can be ridden either western or english. He has more go than whoa, and he is very responsive under saddle. King will easily pick up a trot/jog and canter when asked. He is comfortable both in the arena and on trail rides. Overall, King is a great horse who would find a perfect fit with an intermediate rider looking for a partnership with a gelding who enjoys both trails and arena work.

To get approved, please complete a lifetime lease application and email it to info@wyhumane.org
Include with your completed application, pictures of your property including your barn, stall, or run-in shed, pasture, water source, and fencing both close up and a corner picture.

Links to the application and our policies.
