Kelvin is a potential competitor for the 2026 Dakota Showdown Horse Trainer Challenge. If matched with a trainer, he will spend 100+ days in training and be available for adoption at the Dakota Showdown Finale on August 23, 2026, in Lennox, SD through a bidding process to approved adopters.<br/><br/>Kelvin is a BLM mustang gelding who came to GSH specifically for the 2025 Dakota Showdown. Unfortunately, his trainer was unable to make much progress with him, and he also failed to maintain a good body condition. After the Showdown Finale, he returned to GSH where he has spent time decompressing and gaining weight.<br/><br/>This summer he will be given a second chance at a bright future by competing again in the Foundation Division of the Dakota Showdown.
