Journey's Story
CURRENT RIDER LEVEL: Confident Beginner

Journey (Pushers Money Delight) is a 2008 Tennessee Walking Horse mare who stands at 15 hands tall and weighs 1,080lbs.
She is a kind, affectionate girl who truly enjoys human attention and is always happy to greet you—often walking right up to you in the field.
Journey gets along well when turned out with both mares and geldings. She is blind in her right eye, which doesn’t slow her down or bother her much, but she does appreciate plenty of verbal cues on that side, especially before being touched. On the ground, Journey is a dream. She stands very quietly for grooming and tacking, loves treats, and soaks up affection. She stands patiently at the mounting block, but once you’re seated, she’s ready to head out and do her job. Under saddle, Journey takes a bit but prefers a shorter shanked hackamore ridden on a loose rein with minimal contact. She neck reins better than she direct reins and is very soft, responsive to seat cues, and sensitive to leg pressure. She does best with light leg aids and clear vocal cues.
Journey has a lovely walk and an incredibly smooth “pace.” While she doesn’t gait correctly, her movement is butter smooth and exceptionally comfortable to ride.
We’ve enjoyed riding Journey in the arena, but we believe she will truly shine as a trail horse. She will be best matched with an understanding intermediate rider looking for a smooth, willing trail partner to explore the world with.
If you’re searching for a sweet, smooth, and responsive mare to hit the trails with, Journey may be your perfect match.

To get approved, please complete a lifetime lease application and email it to info@wyhumane.org
Include with your completed application, pictures of your property including your barn, stall, or run-in shed, pasture, water source, and fencing both close up and a corner picture.

Links to the application and our policies.
