Holly's Story

Meet Holly - a Rare Newfoundland Pony Looking for Her Forever Home!

Looking for something truly special? Meet Holly, a 26-year-old Newfoundland Pony - one of only a few hundred left in the world. This rare heritage draft breed is known for its friendly nature, adaptability, and unmistakable charm, and Holly embodies all of that and more.

Holly is a sweet, affectionate black mare who loves spending time with people, especially kids. She's been a gentle favorite during our camp programs, soaking up attention and patiently letting children groom her and braid her mane.

She does have laminitis, but it's been well managed through careful diet and environment. Holly will need a dry lot home, as grazing on grass can cause a flare-up. While we were told she can drive, she isn't currently under saddle - any additional activity should be introduced gradually and with attention to her comfort.

Holly is up to date on vaccines, dental care, hoof trims, and is even microchipped. She's ready to bring joy, love, and a bit of Newfoundland Pony magic to a home that appreciates her gentle spirit and the importance of preserving this incredible breed.

If you have a soft spot for rare ponies and a big heart for giving seniors the best life possible, Holly may be your perfect match.

If you're ready to fall in love with Holly, email farmanimals@nhspca.org for more information.

Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Black Age: 26yrs 7mths 1wks
